Dancing with the Stars 9 Speculation and Casting Rumors

Well, it is like a week since the show ended, and the speculation is already beginning for season 9. The latest one I've heard is Danny Gokey from American Idol. You? Tell us what you've heard!

I haven't heard anything but I'd love to hear that they are going to do an east coast show .. I know there are several stars that have wanted this.. Kelly Rippa has said on her show she would love to do it if they came there.. and even Sheri from the view (LOVE Both of those!) would love to do it . so would others i just can't remember their names

That would be VERY cool. Aren't a good number of the dancers usually based from the East Coast anyway? I know Maks has a studio back there for certain....well, several, really, so that would put Karina there as well, I'd guess...

Isn't the new pro.. Anna from there? I know Inna B. was from there last season. I know some have moved from east to west because of the show but.. i'm sure there are still several that are east coast

I'm not sure about Anna. Cheryl has always been West, and I think that Derek came from London and just settled West since that was where the show was, Juilanne is Nashville now, but she's sitting the season out...Tony's East, but coaches coast to coast...Mark and Corky list Houston and LA. I don't suppose there is such a thing as home field advantage when it comes to ballroom?!?!?!

The only rumors I've heard so far is Danny Gokey and Donny Osmond.

An East Coast version sounds fun. I'd enjoy seeing Kelly Ripa on the show. Maybe they would do ask another celebrity from All My Childrem since that is also filmed on the East Coast (I don't watch soaps, so I don't know if other soaps are filmed there as well).

I THINK (not official word) that One Life to Live is East Coast, and GH is West Coast. I agree that Kelly Ripa would be wonderful, and such a nice match for Tony. The chemistry you could see between them when he and Melissa were on Regis & Kelly after the finale had a nice feel to it, and she was a nice height match for him as well.

At one time I had heard Mike Tyson's name floated about, but I sincerely hope they aren't considering him. Male boxers have never done well on the show, and I just don't like him much as a person.

I agree that Kelly Ripa would be a great match for Tony. They looked really good dancing together on Regis & Kelly.

I would also rather not see Mike Tyson on the show.

Didn't Sherri Shepherd (from the View) say that she wants to be on the Show? Hmmm!

I heard that I think it is the Australian version of the show has cast a blind paralympian for their next season. I wonder if that opens things back up for Stevie Wonder here in the States?
